June 2016 Beauty Favourites // MissBeautyEmily
20:30
So here we are for my second blog post of July. If you didn't already know, I am blogging every other day in July since it's my birthday month and I wanted to do something motivational and have a little something to be proud of for when I hit 20! My post today is all about what I have been loving in the month of June, I'll be talking about those beauty products I just can't get enough of and fall in love with over and over again.
Urban Decay Naked 3:
I'm very very late on this bandwagon. I've been eyeing up the naked palettes for so long and now I can finally say I own one. I chose the naked 3 out of the whole range because I always gravitate towards pinks, golds and browns so this palette seemed ideal for my first choice. I am keeping this palette mainly for special occasions as it was a hefty £38.50 which is a lot of money when you have to pay for rent and bills but hey, you've got to treat yourself sometimes. One of the biggest occasions I wore this for was my boyfriend's brother's wedding and I have to say, the shades matched beautifully to my dress and the shimmer tones were to die for! I don't want to go into huge detail on this palette because 1, this isn't a review and 2, everyone has heard about this palette and I don't want to bore you by reiterating what every other blogger says. Basically, this palette is worth the nearly £40 price mark and looks beautiful!
Collection Speedy Highlighter Stick:
Something I didn't think I would adore as much as I have done, I purchased this little highlight stick from Collection for a measly £3 so didn't expect wonders but oh my does this deliver. The stick is insanely pigmented and glides on so creamily that I forget it's an inexpensive drugstore item. I swipe a line on my cheeks bones, cupids bow and brow bone and buff it in with a brush as it does leave a harsh line (but that's to be expected, it's a stick after all). I pair this with my next favourite (ironically) as it acts as a base and sets my powder highlighter beautifully.
The Balm Mary-lou Manizer:
It seems fitting to talk about this product next since I hinted about it in my previous fave. Admittedly I only purchased this during the last week of June but I'm lusting over it already and I know I'll be using it constantly. It's another product that has been raved about and I've wanted it for ages but didn't want to part with £17.50 to have it in my collection. As you can probably tell, I'm starting to invest in higher end makeup as I really can tell the difference in quality so this was one of my next upgrades. This gorgeous gold highlight looks beautiful on the skin and is extremely pigmented and buildable yet still looks natural. Hands down my favourite highlighter at the moment (and that's saying something because I have some pretty top notch highlights in my collection)
Mac Mineralised Blush - Warm Soul:
Yet another splurge of £22 but this is the most natural yet glowing looking blush I've owned. I'm quite fussy when it comes to blush as being pale means even the lightest of blush can make me look clown-like if it's too pigmented or doesn't blend nicely. This Mac blush has one of the best formulas by far, the mineralised finish means I get a healthy glow to my cheeks with a flush of colour that doesn't look too intense. I've been wearing this every day for June and haven't picked up another blush since, oops!
Chanel Dimensions Mascara:
This isn't a product I bought myself as I received it as a sample courtesy of Boots! I'm so glad I was able to grab a tester of this mascara because it's made me really want to pick up the full version. This mascara gives my lashes extreme length and a good amount of volume. I look like I'm wearing really natural falsies because they're so long looking but it's all my natural lashes! The formula works a treat and doesn't give me panda eyes halfway through the day or flake off (Although I would hope so, this is priced at £25 for a tube).
In one way I'm annoyed that this mascara is my favourite because my tester won't last forever and I'm going to want to grab the full product and I know my bank balance won't agree with that decision...
So that is it for my favourites of June 2016, have you tried any of my faves and do they hold a special place in your collection too? Perhaps you don't agree and don't see why I'm hyping them up? Leave you comments below!

I love the Naked 3 palette too but my favourite is definitely the Naked Smoky; so good for creating both everyday and very glam eye looks!

I don't know why but there's something about the Naked Smoky I just don't like! I think it's because I like my pink and gold shimmers so it's out of my comfort zone but I should definitely swatch it, it might change my mind x
DeleteI'm all about that UD Naked 3 palette. :)
