The Adexe Grande Rose Gold Watch & Giveaway

Having a watch can instantly style up an outfit and I feel is an item really worth investing in. I've had a fair few watches in my lifetime and really depend on them since I love to be organised and stick to time limits so I always want a watch that is comfortable, easy to read but still looks fashionable. Today I'm going to be talking about the gorgeous Meek Grande Rose Gold watch which I was very lucky enough to receive and have the chance to try out in my every day life. I'm also going to be telling you how you can bag one for yourself which is super easy to enter!

The Features

Doesn't this watch ooze blogger goals? Rose gold against a matte black clock face.. yes please! So the design of this watch is pretty simple and allows you to know the time immediately after looking (perfect for me when I need to be able to glance at my watch and know what time it is within seconds). The Meek Grande Rose Gold watch is new to Adexe and is a design that I feel will be super popular with buyers. It would suit both male and females and add class to any outfit. Truthfully I was worried that the Grande version would be too big for my small wrists but fear not, the strap is very adjustable and fits snuggly onto my wrist with still a lot more room to tighten/loosen so would be a good fit for all. The clock face itself isn't too big either and measures in at 40.5mm diameter and is covered with curved hardened crystal glass which makes it so easy to clean and keep looking like new.

If you prefer to have a watch with standard numbers on then unfortunately this watch may not be appropriate but I personally prefer a more minimalistic approach when it comes to the watch face. When browsing through Adexe I knew I wanted a watch with a date and thankfully this watch has just that. It is positioned to the right hand side near the dial and is quite discreet but still visible. The straps are hand-made stainless mesh which is something I've not actually worn before and I'm pleased to say does not irritate! I have found in the past that some watches can irritate my skin when I wear them for long periods of time, however I've worn this one everyday since receiving it (apart from when I'm showering) and I have had no reactions. The watch is waterproof for 3ATM but I personally don't like to shower/bathe when I have a watch on.

Overall Thoughts

The watch itself has been a pleasure to wear and I can see myself keeping this for years to come. The watch is priced at £109 which personally I think is an absolute bargain when you consider a watch is an investment and some can go for ££££'s. If you're looking for something that is practical yet looks sophisticated on the arm then this is ideal, it's not too big or bold thus making it a massive statement but it still has that wow-factor to make people look twice.

Chemist4U: Discounted Makeup & Essentials?!

Don't we all love makeup that's cheaper than the RRP? I do! I've recently had the chance to shop on Chemist4U and stocked up on some beauty faves and essentials. I wanted to share with you what I purchased on the website and how you can grab some bargains too. As you can guess from their name, Chemist4U also allow you to purchase healthcare such as vitamins, medicines and dental care all at the comfort of your home which makes it perfect if you're a little anxious to pop in-store.

Victoria Secret: Pure Seduction

I first got this body spray a few years back when Victoria Secret still had their old bottles! I treasured it at the time because VS was so hard to get down here in Cornwall and you couldn't order them online at the time unless you were willing to spend a stupidly inflated price. When I spotted this on their website it immediately went into my basket, especially since it was £8.99 which is cheaper than alternative stores. I'm running very low on my previous bottle so this was a welcomed sight! Chemist4U actually stock a fair bit of Victoria Secret sprays so be sure to check those out if you like them. Bathroom Essentials

What I loved about this website was the fact that you could easily stock up on bare essentials for so cheap! I always forget to pick up bathroom items so this marshmallow cream caught my eye (Probably because it's pink and sounds bloody amazing!). They aren't stocking this scent anymore but they stock other varieties and this was only £1.20 which is so good. Check out the other Imperial Leather products here. I also had to grab some soap whilst I was on there because we seem to go through it so quickly at home. I decided on this Cussons antibacterial soap which only ended up being 90p so definitely wasn't breaking the bank.

T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel

I have recently been getting into T-Zone products and actually did a whole video using their new charcoal range which you can check out here. Due to the success of those products, I wanted to try this spot gel out and see if it's any good. This ended up being £2.49 instead of £3.99 which was a great saving! They actually stock a load more T-Zone products so if you wanted to change up your skin care routine then you could literally buy it all from here.

Makeup Wipes

I go through makeup wipes like no tomorrow. (Blame the fact I do a lot of youtube videos that include endless swatches!). I took the opportunity to grab 2 packs of the T-Zone wipes which were only 39p(!!) and then also a pack of the Vantage wipes. I've already gone through a pack of the T-zone ones and for 39p I couldn't complain. They were definitely on the thinner side as makeup wipes go but I usually pay £2 - £3 for those so I was content with using 2 wipes instead. If you go through makeup wipes fast too then I 100% recommend stocking up on here, you get so much for your money!

M-Therapy Beauty Pod

So I actually purchased this with the expectation of this being a facial steamer... I should have carefully read the description! It turned out I actually purchased an anti-ageing beauty pod that produces vapour that carries the nourishing serum to the skin. Being 21 I didn't feel like I quite needed this device in my life yet so I gifted this to mum who I thought would enjoy this a lot more than me. The idea of this pod is great and you use the plastic spout to administer the serum vapour to the problematic areas of the skin. This device retails for £99.99 but on Chemist4U it is being sold for £19.99. The only investment with this device is the podlets which can be purchased from M-Therapy. You can find out more about the device here which I clearly should have read first before buying! (oops).

My Experience
If you are interested in finding fab discounts on neccessities and beauty products then I highly recommend Chemist4U. My order only took around a week to arrive and it all came securely packaged with no damages or opened products. I did find that one of my items I ordered became out of stock during the processing time but they refund any money to you if this happens. They seem to stock a huge variety of products too and I like how they are also an online pharmacy so you can buy any healthcare needed.

Hairstyles I Am Loving For 2018

Something I don't tend to touch upon on my blog is hairstyles! Why? I have no idea because I love trying out new styles! I've decided I'm going to compile a list of hairstyles/colours I am digging at the moment that I'd either love to try myself or wish I could rock. This is a sponsored post but all opinions are my own so I hope you get some hair inspo too!

Bohemian Curls

How gorgeous does Beyonce look? I absolutely adore the look of these curls on her although it's completely opposite to what I naturally rock (pin straight hair, sigh). However I came across Divatress who are selling these outer expression bohemian curl 14 loops that could work for anyone wanting this look! They are available in a variety of colours to suit anyone wanting to purchase them which is good to see as I hate when you find your ideal hair piece/extensions and they don't come in your colour. Divatress have also included a video on the page to help you style these which is very helpful for someone new to the world of hair pieces (like me!). Short & Choppy

Now this is something I've wanted to do but I feel like I'll end up missing my long hair! Short & choppy has definitely come into fashion in the past year with lots of people being brave and taking inches off their hair. I love how 'messy' and 'easy' this looks yet it still seems put together and super pretty. I feel like styling this could either be super easy or hard.. I'm not one to use many hair products so I think this could be a small hurdle for me and I'd need to know exactly what works for short choppy hair and what doesn't. I also feel my styling techniques would need to change too, no more tight curls for me and I'd probably have to use a lot of heat since I don't think I'd like this style straight which is my natural hair type.

Bronde

I'm one of those people that can't decide whether I want to be blonde or brunette.. therefore I have ombre hair! However, I've had ombre for 4 years now and I want a change. This exact photo is the sort of thing I want to go for next.. a mid-length choppy and layered style, middle parting and a mix of brown and blonde. I'd probably have a bit more brown mixed in though since I'm pale and I find too much blonde washes me out (I used to be fully blonde and looking back, I look so washed out!). For me this would still be super simple to style and maintain since it's just a shorter version of what I have now plus a middle parting (which I'd need to get used to).

Bold!

If I ever do get rid of my blonde.. I really feel like I should at least try a bold colour throughout my hair. I've always wanted to try purple or pink out in my hair, especially for summer. I'd want something pastel or quite light as opposed to a dark pink/purple since I think pastels look less heavy on the hair. I particularly think this dusky purple looks beautiful and could work with my pale skin.

Today's post is going to discuss Slenderella and their beautiful nightwear that I had the chance to try myself. The Yarn Dyed Tartan Pyjamas

After browsing their site I settled on trying the Yarn Dyed Tartan pyjamas since I loved the print and I'm a lover of red. I also find tartan is a flattering design and is pretty classic so I knew it would go well with anything I paired it with. They do this specific tartan style in 3 options but I went with the shirt and trousers just because that is what I'm used to and since it's still pretty cold, I wanted something to keep me warm.

As stated on their website these pyjamas are described as 'button through pyjama top with long sleeves and a collar. Satin piping detail to cuff, collar and pockets. Breast pocket to left side. 100% yarn dyed cotton'. Upon opening my package, I could feel the quality was definitely apparent in the pyjamas and were super soft to the touch. They also felt thick and well made as opposed to cheaper alternatives that can feel thin and usually fade in the wash. Overall my first impression of them was good and definitely what I expected, I liked that they came wrapped in a box too which definitely adds to the value of them.

If you're wondering if I put these on as soon as they arrived.. you would be correct! When I'm at home I love to lounge in pjs so I knew that they'd get a good rigorous test on whether they are lounge-worthy or not. The first thing I noticed about putting them on is they definitely had an apparent weight to them, confirming they were made from good quality fabric that would stand the test of time. They also felt extremely soft and almost satin-like which I definitely approve of. The top fitted me really well and I was glad to see that the buttons go right up the chest, allowing me to keep my dignity and not reveal too much skin or have anything popping out!! The trousers are elasticated which I'm thankful for as I did have to get a size bigger than I usually would (10 - 12) and I was worried the whole set would be too big but the trousers fitted snuggly, just a little long if anything.
Lounging around in them was a dream and they kept me warm whilst on the couch. The only thing I would say is that the sleeves do ride up if you're sat on the couch on your phone (or basically anything where you arms are bent) so perhaps I just have longer than average arms?! However this was not a huge issue for me but thought it should be something I mentioned since I expected them to be a little longer since I sized up.

Now how did they fair in the sleeping test? Usually any pyjamas that are a shirt and trouser style I end up burning up in whilst sleeping so I was convinced this would happen with these. I was wrong! These were breathable yet still kept me toasty during the night. I could move around in them easily and the fabric didn't itch or irritate at all (something I find can happen with some nightwear which is definitely not want you want at night!).

One issue I did face is actually on the second time of wearing these. As I went to button up the shirt, one of the buttons came right off. I noticed they seem to only be attached with a small amount of thread so you need to make sure you are not heavy handed. Luckily I know the basics of sewing so I can quite easily sew it back on with no hassle but it would be nice to see the buttons sewn securely as I think it could be quite easy to pull them off.

That time of year is upon us again and I don't know about you but I always struggle on what to get. This year I have decided to put together a guide of some pieces I think any mum would love to receive so that you can draw some inspiration from the post and maybe gift your own some of these too.

Adexe Watch

This particular watch is the Meek Grande Rosegold watch which is beautiful. I have a separate post on this piece coming soon which will go much more into depth. I have always felt a nice looking watch really dresses up an outfit and adds a bit of sophistication. The Meek watch does just that and the rose gold oozes femininity whilst the black clock face adds a sleekness to it. Adexe watches have a ton of styles and you'll be sure to find something for your loved one on their site. Their watches start from £95 and go up to £149 so a really decent price for a luxurious watch.

Hotel Chocolat

Did you know that Hotel Chocolat has released a beauty range? I had no idea! Their beauty products look well-made and I adore the packaging, simple yet sophisticated. The way their products are designed and how they are used would really fit well into any mum's lifestyle and give them a pampering treat. The Three Shell body scrub looks divine and is unique, I don't often find scrubs that have seashells in! It retails for £16 and I heavily recommend you having a look into their other body products. They also have lip balms available in lots of flavours, this particular one is chocolate peach (yum!) and is only £7 for a balm packed full of goodness. Since we're talking about Hotel Chocolat it was only fair I included a cheeky chocolate idea right? These 'Best Mum' chocolates are packaged so nicely and a perfect gift if you're on a budget, they are £2.50 for a luxurious chocolate treat.

Lee Stafford Rainbow Shine Hair Straighteners

Having a good pair of straighteners is vital in every woman's life! They can be used to create both straight and curly hairstyles so I would highly recommend a pair. These particular ones from Lee Stafford are not only beautiful to look at but work a dream. They glide through hair without a single tug or pull which I find some cheaper straighteners are very guilty of! There are 5 heat settings and it also comes with a heat mat and a gorgeous rainbow bag (I'm drooling over this bag guys.. so pretty). At £70 for the gift set, I think this is a really good price for a pair of well-made straighteners that have built-in technology for a frizz-free look. However whilst doing this post, I've seen some sites have these reduced down to £42 so have a little browse around for some deals.

Charlotte Tilbury Scent Of A Dream Perfume

Perfume is such a personal thing and I love having scents linked to a particular memory. Charlotte Tilbury have their own perfume 'Scent of a dream' that smells spectacular! It's a very grown up and sophisticated scent that every lady needs in their life, mums included. There are 3 sizes available so you can pick whichever would suit best for your budget and I guarantee this gift will not disappoint! Not only is the scent divine but the bottle itself is such a show piece and will look lovely displayed on a dressing table.

B&M Bargains... candles, mugs and homeware!

I am a huge B&M lover and tend to pop in there every time I visit my parents (since there isn't one in our town, sob!). I always browse their website to see what exactly they have in stock and to look out for it when I next have a shopping spree. They have gotten in some gorgeous pieces for their Mother's Day range and I wanted to mention a few. Firstly, this reed diffuser screams spring to me so would be a perfect gift to welcome Spring into their home! You also get two votives to match which will make the house smell of vanilla throughout (or white blossom depending on which you pick!). This set is only £4.99 which is a complete steal and you could easily get a few more pieces to go with it. Perhaps you like the idea of a mug too? B&M have you sorted. At £1.99 you could quite easily buy a whole new mug collection, their designs are fresh and bright which I adore and there are a couple of 'mother's day' inspired ones to pick from. Something not pictured above but I wanted to mention was their Glitter Branch LED Lights, my mum has a set of these in the hallway and they look so nice as you walk in. They make great gifts because they're simple but make such a huge impact in a room. You can find what I'm talking about here for £8.99. Finally, I wanted to mention the gorgeous collage frames that they sell. I think these would be amazing gifts because you can personalise it and put in your own photos which can then be hung in a room and really jazz a place up. This is only £5.99 too and comes in black or white and there is also one that says 'family' if you preferred that.

V-Day Essentials To Make You Feel GOOD

Valentine's Day is approaching and I know it's like marmite, you either love it or hate it! If you've not got another half to share it with then how about treating it as a day for some self-love! (And I'm not meaning in a kinky way, ha!) Yes, we should take every day to love ourselves but sometimes it's difficult so why not take just one day to really focus on you and whatever makes you feel good! I decided to write this post so I can talk about all those little products that really make me feel confident in my body and are just a little extra step in my routine to really bring out that inner goddess inside!

Lipstick

What is it about red lipstick that makes you feel so sophisticated? Although not so much when it's all over your teeth.. My top 3 picks for Valentine's are pictured above and I've chosen a pinky red from Milani, a killer red gloss combo from Joan Collins and a beautiful matte red lippy with liner from Lola Cosmetics. Red is empowering and I feel goes so nicely with my pale skin: shock horror, something that actually compliments my ghostly complexion?!

The Milani lipstick in the shade fruit punch is definitely more pink than red but I had to sneak in a pink because how couldn't I? I adore the formula of these as they are moisturising and glossy, a perfect combination on the lips. They are scented to me like watermelon but my boyfriend begs to differ but can't quite tell me what he thinks it is.

My new favourite gloss is definitely Monte Carlo from Joan Collins Beauty. This is the most pigmented and comfortable lip gloss I've ever tried! I was super shocked when I put it on my lips so I highly recommend. You can wear it on its own or pair it with Lady Joan, a beautiful matte red lipstick for a killer red look.

If you're more of a matte girl then you could try Merry Berry from Lola Cosmetics, a very comfortable matte formula.

I find with red lipsticks it's so important to line your lips to make it clean so I used their liner 007 to compliment the lipstick.

To the right is a picture of me sporting these two as a combo and I'm quite pleased with the result.

Fragrance

Just a spritz of a nice smelling fragrance can really change my mood, is that just me? I've decided to suggest a body spray and a perfume as I know some people prefer different types. I've always loved my Jean Paul Gaultier scents and Miss Dior so I thought I'd try out some new scents and fell in love with these both.

Bilou is a new brand to hit Superdrug and I had to get a sniff of the fizzy berry scent. There are body sprays with a matching cream foam so this would make a great pair when pampering yourself. There's lots of other scents available too but if you love a good fruit scent then I strongly suggest fizzy berry.

The Forever Sexy scent from Hunkemoller was actually the result I got from a quiz I took to determine what scent was best for me (perfect if you can't decide what to go for) and you can try it yourself here. From my answers, I got the forever sexy scent which I really like as it has notes of different fruits, florals and then vanilla and sandalwood.

Body Care

I really neglect my skin on a daily basis so using body products is a huge treat for me. One perhaps for the bedroom rather than as a pamper is the in2mate products I recently discovered. Another new discovery for me is the Hempz brand where I've been using their lip balm non-stop and their shimmering souffle.

The three in2mate products that have joined my bathroom cupboard of goodies are the intimate wash, moisturiser and lubricant. I know some people disagree with using any sort of product in your intimate area which is completely fine and you do whatever you wish but I personally feel like a product designed for the area is completely safe and makes me feel much cleaner. The wash is gentle and non-perfumed which helps to restore bacterial balance, refreshes and detoxifies. Meanwhile the moisturiser is exactly the same but repairs micro skin damage and replenishes moisture. The lubricant is natural with an optimised pH, probiotics and has rejuvenating ingredients to restore moisture, smoothness and flexibility.

Hempz is a brand that has a questionable name but do not worry, all their products are THC free and instead are enriched with 100% pure natural hemp seed oil. I cannot get enough of their lip balm pictured above. It's really nourshing on the lips and keeps them hydrated for hours after, not just 5 minutes. Their coconut fusion shimmering souffle is so nice to use too as it gives my skin a sheen, something I do not get naturally due to being pretty much a ghost!!

Date nights become a thing of the past once you've been with your partner for a while.. at least that's what most people including myself have experienced! No matter how long you've been together, I really feel it's important to make sure you have a date night every so often. Me and my boyfriend Matt have been together for 3 years next month and we don't really have "dates" anymore. Occasionally we may go to the cinema together as a cute night out but apart from that, we rarely go out for meals or plan adventures. However, LoveDrop have come to the rescue and they claim 'It's more than just a toy box. It's an event, an experience, a challenge for you and your partner to explore together' So today's post is going to delve into the subscription box and whether I think it's worth trying!

What Is Love Drop?

I'm sure you're all relatively familiar with how a subscription box works. You sign up and receive a box on a regular basis that is filled with goodies inside! LoveDrop is no exception apart from the fact it's designed to spice up a couples life! They are also a bi-monthly box which allows you to take the time to really experiment with the items you get before receiving new ones. LoveDrop promise to always deliver the following in their boxes: date night gifts, a designer sex toy, activites/games and some samples. You can be sure you will be getting a good variety of products to try every other month.

What Was Inside My Love Drop?

Upon opening my LoveDrop I was greeted with a jam packed full box. Everything was packaged very sophistically and also discreetly (if you're worried about the postman seeing what you've ordered!!). I received 3 full sized items and then 4 samples in my box and also a dates + challenges booklet.

The Melt Co 'Joy' Candle (RRP £8.95)
A handmade candle that has a lovely subtle scent of floral and musk. I always love candles to set the mood and this fits in perfectly for a date night. I'm pleased that it's quite a subtle scent too because I feel overpowering candles can be a bit too much when trying to set the mood, you want something soft and light to set the tone.

Lelo Nea (RRP £69)
Firstly, this product already exceeds the box price of £45 which makes it great value for money already! The Lelo Nea is their designer sex toy for their December box and mine came in a pink/purple colour with a floral pattern on the front. I think including a toy in a box like this is great since it allows beginners to start to experiment with toys and then it will also be loved by couples who already have a collection since it's a unique design so unlikely to already be owned!

LoveDrop Prompt Cards (RRP £9.95)
I really liked the idea of the prompt cards when I opened them as they give an activity to try together as a couple and this can be a life saver when you get stuck for ideas! Whether you just don't feel creative enough when it comes to spicing things up or you just want to try something new, these cards are perfect for that.

Lelo 'Hex' Condoms & Lubricant Samples
As for the samples, I received 2 of each variety. I've actually seen posts about the hex condoms before and even got asked if I wanted to review them (but I was too shy to agree!) so it was quite interesting to find them in the box. There was also lubricant too which of course will be handy for anyone, beginner or expert. I'm glad to see the samples were useful and not just 'a filler product' to make the box seem more as I find with some boxes their samples don't fit for everyone and then go to waste.

Dates & Challenges
LoveDrop subscription boxes contain a handy booklet that goes through all of the items and then leads on to the 'dates and challenges' portion. I really like the idea of including these as once again, they include things you just usually wouldn't try or even think about! For example, in December's booklet they challenge you both to 'up your public displays of affection' since it can lower blood pressure, reduce stress and build trust. There's also a date idea of cooking a meal together or baking which me and Matt actually did and we really enjoyed ourselves.

How Can You Get Love Drop?

Signing up is super simple and can be done here. LoveDrop costs £45 every other month which although may seem a lot at first, considering you get a designer toy that is worth more than the box already, is a great price. I also consider it an investment into your relationship since it really helps to improve the bond between each other and spice up your love life if you're seeking that. Acne is embarrassing, confidence-breaking and just down right painful! I have always suffered from breakouts since a teen and I ended up on tablets when I was 17 to combat my issue. It cleared up like a dream and I decided to stop taking the medication as I was sure it was gone for good. Unfortunately the last year has decided to bring back awful breakouts that no spot treatment seems to be able to help! The majority of my acne seems to be on my chin and a couple on my cheeks. My chin is scarred with red blemishes from past breakouts and I just can't seem to get my skin under control to be spot-free again. I'm 21 so as you can imagine, having spots makes me feel like I'm forever stuck as a teenager and it just doesn't make me feel good going bare. I was very kindly contacted by Tria Beauty on whether I would like to trial their Acne Clearing Blue Light to which I jumped at the chance! Today's post is focused on the arrival of my device and a quick insight into my first treatment of the blue light. There will be a post in a few weeks time to discuss my results and whether the device is making any difference.

What's inside?

The blue light comes in a very compact box which contains everything you need to work the device. Pictured above you can see that the device is placed in a plastic insert with the charging cables beside. You also receive instruction manuals and sticker guides to place onto the skin. These come in so handy for when you use the device as it helps to keep you confined to one area on your face. The manuals are very helpful and you need to read them beforehand so you know what you are doing. Be sure to go over the steps until you know exactly what you're doing because even though I read it a few times first, I still ended up messing up on my patch test.

How do you carry out your patch test? It's really quite simple and is recommended to do 24hrs before you first treatment. I placed one of the sticky circle guides onto the crook of my arm and then switched the device on (one click of the button). I pressed the device window against the skin I was testing and immediately the blue light turns on along with the fan (which is all normal). Now this is the part where I went wrong so as I said before, be sure to read the steps a few times! You are meant to move the device around slowly within the circle guide for the duration of the time the device is on. I accidentally kept the device in the same spot and my skin kept getting very hot and I had to move it away which stops the device since it's not against the skin. It is normal for the skin to become warm but do not leave it in the same spot as it will get too hot to bear. The device will stay on for around 5 minutes before switching off. When the test is done, leave the skin for 24 hours and keep an eye out for any reactions.

My First Treatment

Fast forward 24 hours and my patch test had remained normal so I knew that I could begin with my first treatment. I washed my face and dried it so it was clean and took one of the guides and popped it onto an area of my chin that currently has red blemishes and mild acne. The guides are sufficiently sized and allowed me to treat half of my chin. Like my patch test, I turned the device on and carried out the treatment by placing the device against my skin and slowly going around in circles until the device chimed. It only takes about 5 minutes for the whole of the treatment but it does feel like a while when all you're doing is rotating it but all I'm picturing is my skin being clear and that definitely gets me through it.

After that section was done, I decided to move the guide onto the second part of my chin since this seems to be my problem area. Both treatments went smoothly and the only sensation I felt was slight warming throughout but it wasn't uncomfortable. It is advised to pop on a cream to keep the skin soft and hydrated afterwards so I used my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream.

Next steps..

So what next? It takes around 2 weeks to see a visible improvement so I will be using this device daily for 14 days before I update you on my results. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it will sort out my mild acne and make me feel confident again.
