Teen Boxie: The New Subscription Box In Town // MissBeautyEmily
13:15
So there are a lot of subscription boxes on the market at the moment but I'm here to introduce you to a fabulous new one from Teen Boxie! A lot of the boxes available are aimed at the majority of females who know the sort of thing they want (skin care, makeup, jewellery) but there's nothing out there for someone younger who wants to experiment with all sorts of products. Teen Boxie was set up by parents to a teenage girl who is obsessed with beauty and they wanted to create a box that's full of decent sized products, covering an array of areas like makeup, accessories, decorations etc. I absolutely love the concept of their subscription box and feel it can be enjoyed by many ages!
Teen Boxie Packaging
This is the design of the box and I absolutely love the scheme of gold and baby blue! It makes it look quite regal and not gender or age specific! The box is quite big (Think shoe box size) so you know you'll be getting a good amount inside just from that! The lid lifts open to reveal the golden tissue paper with the 'Boxie' sticker keeping it closed.
Information Leaflet
This is May's information leaflet which shows you a photo of everything you get inside and once flipped over, states specifically each item you get which is good for referring to. I always find these sorts of things very helpful as sometimes it's not clear what the item is and having to try and find out can become difficult.
Decor pieces
May's box contained these three decor pieces that all match which I think is such a lovely thought! As a teen, I remember how I loved to decorate my room and make it my own so pieces like this are fab for that. All of these items are from Sass & Belle and are great quality. I love how they all relate to friends too which makes all the pieces have a very positive vibe to them!

Accessories
I was also a huge lover of accessories when I was younger and these pieces definitely took me back to my childhood! Keyrings and phone accessories were something I would happily spend my pocket money on so it was great to see a couple in the box. The Tinc. mobile phone/ipod holder is a lovely vibrant pink colour that is made from stretchy material to allow most sized devices to fit snugly inside. It comes with a cord inside so that it can be safely secured to avoid losing the item, a very important aspect! The cloud keyring is also from Tinc. and matches the holder in colour and I think it's such a cute little design! I would have popped this onto either my house key or locker key as a teen to make it much easier to find in my bag and I feel like the design will be liked by all.

Makeup
The majority of the box was makeup which pleased me! Before I begin about the products inside, I came to release I missed a product out during my photo session! Inside the box were Royal Lashed Out Eyelash Curlers which can be seen slightly in the photos below of the overall box, but silly me completely forgot! Curlers were always something I loved using on my lashes (and still do) so I love to see they're in this starter kit for teens.
There are also a pair of Saffron lashes included in their 'natural' design which I actually love the idea of as I always wanted to experiment with lashes when I was younger but didn't want to waste a lot of money so to receive them in a box would be super helpful for the experimental! Plus they are a very natural design so it won't look too harsh or ageing.
A Royal Lashed Out Felt Tip Eyeliner was also included which we all know is a big must in makeup bags now. Felt tip liners are by far the easiest compared to liquid liner which is the best alternative for beginners and will make practicing a lot easier!
We all know that teens are very much into their beauty bloggers/vloggers right now so to have a lipgloss by Tanya Burr inside would make it very relatable for the receiver. This is her lip gloss for the Eye Candy Collection which is a lovely red colour. Lip glosses are definitely best for younger ladies since it's not so pigmented and bold on them and appears very youthful.
Every girl loves mascara so it was only right for a mascara to be included and this is the Covershoot mascara. I've tried a few of their products myself before and they are super simple to use and inexpensive which is great for teens wanting to repurchase in the future.
There's also a W7 King Kohl Eyeliner pencil included which could be used to smoke up a look to transition it from day to night without the need for lots more products.
Lastly and probably one of my favourite items is the W7 Beat It Nude Eyeshadow Palette, I have 3 of these palettes already and I feel like they are fab starter kits for beginners because they are pigmented enough to create a natural look on the eye without being too scary to experiment with. The shades are always very wearable and don't fade during the day or cause fall out. This particular palette has a lot of light and darks which makes it a palette than can be used for day and night looks.

Teen Boxie
Overall I was super impressed with the amount of products I found inside. Most boxes only contain max 5 items so to find 12 was very surprising. The total value of the box comes to £47.80 but to purchase the subscription is £19.95 a month which makes it a huge saving. They do saving offers online which you can check out here and they also do a 'small' version which contains 4-5 products for £10 and you can see all about that subscription here. I really feel like this box is perfect for younger girls wanting to experiment with beauty products whilst also receiving some cute decor pieces and accessories. The boxes contain full sized products too which stops the disappointment of using a sample a couple times before it runs out. If you're interested in finding out more then check out their website here.
What do you think of this new box that's hitting the market? I think this would make an excellent present idea!

I'm super impressed with this box, Emily! You're absolutely right that it is difficult for those in their teen years to know exactly what they want / need makeup wise, and this box is ideal for allowing them to try things out without shelling out all their pocket money on different products! I love the cute accessories and decor in this box too, what a steal for less than £20 for 12 items! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone in the teen age group!

Wow! I'm really impressed with the selection of things in the box. It'd make a great gift for a teenage family member (or heck, just for myself!)

This is a brilliant subscription box! I was surprised how many items there were as I was scrolling down reading your blog post. It's a good thing that they've got an option for a smaller box too, as some people, like myself simply can't juggle so many items a month like that! Xx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea for a box! I might suggest this to a couple of the women at work who have young daughters who are just getting into make-up! Teenage years are all about experimenting with make-up so for £20, getting all of that is worth it!
