My Favourite Makeup Brushes 2016 ♡ // MissBeautyEmily

Hey everyone ♡
Makeup brushes are a key item to be able to apply makeup, without them we'd be left with just applying makeup with our fingers and personally I find that gross! I've decided to share my all time favourite brushes and how I use them.

♡ Real Techniques Blush Brush
This is one of my newest brushes added to my collection as I actually never had a dedicated blush brush in my collection, I just used this random unbranded fluffy brush which applied it decently, but I am very happy I invested in this brush as it applies blush very nicely and distributes it evenly across my cheeks.  The bristles are so soft and makes the application process enjoyable (Just imagine the thought of sharp, scratchy bristles gliding across your cheek.. no thanks). This brush can be purchased online or in stores for around £6 - £10 depending where you buy from.

♡ Real Techniques Stippling Brush
I'm not going to go on about this brush too much because I raved about this item in my previous post (Flawless Face Products) but this brush makes my foundation process 10x easier than any other brush I've tried. It stipples my liquid foundation on evenly and creates a flawless base for the rest of my makeup. Once again this brush can be found in many stores and online for around £8 - £10.

♡ Real Techniques Accent Brush
This brush came as part of their kit focused on eyes. I absolutely love this brush for applying shadow underneath the bottom of my waterline to create definition and a pop of colour. It packs on the colour and doesn't pull on the skin due to the softness of the bristles. It's the perfect size to fit underneath the eye too so you won't get product all over the eye, just where you need it. The starter set can be purchased for £20.99 and it includes this brush, base shadow brush, deluxe crease brush, pixel point eyeliner brush and a brow brush.

♡ Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Contour & Face Brush
Although one of these brushes is designed for contouring I actually use them to apply my prime and conceal powder from MUA. The duo-fibre bristles allow for an application that isn't cakey as it lightly dusts the powder onto my skin and distributes it nicely. This came in a limited edition set consisting of the contour brush, face brush and eye brush which is around £20. You can still find these on eBay!

♡ MUA E2 Contouring Brush
I love this brush for blending out eyeshadow placed under my waterline as it gives a gorgeous smokey look! The bristles are lovely and soft which work so well for blending out all colours and avoiding any harsh lines. This brush is so inexpensive too for £1.95 from MUA, a complete steal!

♡ Makeup Revolution F105 Brush
This brush was in a christmas set consisting of a blush & highlight palette and another brush (F104). I absolutely love using this brush to apply highlight as it picks up enough product to give a subtle glow which then allows me to build my highlight up to the desired intensity rather than the brush putting too much product on my cheek bones. This specific brush isn't available separately (and was limited edition).

♡ Real Techniques Powder Brush
Once again, I didn't have a proper powder brush in my makeup collection until getting this one, I used a fat kabuki brush (which I don't personally like) or a random big fluffy brush. But this is by far the best as it's huge and fluffy (can't beat that!!) and feels like silk when brushing it over my skin. It does it's job perfectly and I can't ask for more than that! You can buy these for £10 - £12.
