I've decided to create a little post all about my own handbag beauty essentials that you should all be considering! This guide obviously doesn't cover every single item you may need but I've handpicked a few of my faves, including 2 which aren't exactly beauty related but they are still good to have! I guess you could call this post a 'what's in my bag' minus the obvious essentials!
Caseable Chevron Flora Case
I'm a sucker for cute girly phone cases and Caseable really delivered on this one! I felt like including your phone was quite an obvious essential for your bag so I decided to stick in a fun case to protect your phone whilst in transit! I was kindly sent a case of my choice and I settled on this one because I loved the stark contrast between the pink floral pattern and the monochrome chevron. This particular case fits onto my iPhone 6 Plus and you can choose between it being a hard case, pouch or flip case. The really cool thing about this case is that it's made completely out of recycled water bottles so if you love the idea of reusing things to help the planet then Caseable will be ideal for you! The case still feels super smooth and I never would have guessed that it was recycled if they hadn't included the felt label so I'm super happy to know that I'm being environmentally friendly. Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Stick 'Fair'
I thought this contour stick from Makeup Revolution would be a fab little essential for everyone as it includes both a concealer/highlight colour and a contour shade. The light product is matte so you could definitely use it as either highlight or concealer depending on your skin tone and then the contour shade would be great for either topping up during the day or if you're going straight from work to a few drinks at the bar then you could easily get your contour done in seconds without having to faff around with powder products. Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick 'Bitch Perfect'
I know I said I wouldn't stick anything in here that was too obvious but I just couldn't resist on this one.. my 2 latest additions to my CT collection arrived and I wanted an excuse to photograph them okay? I really do love the formula of these lipsticks as they are very creamy, moisturising and at the same time very pigmented which makes them ideal for the whole day and makes these one of my favourites to pop in my bag. The above shade is called Bitch Perfect, one of her most popular shades in her collection of lippies. Merci Handy Flower Power Hand Cleansing Gel
I'm one of those people that hates germs.. I admit I'm not strict with it to the point I'll sanitise after everything I touch but if something is dirty then my hands don't feel clean until I've given them a thorough scrub. Thankfully for me, I have a bunch of these gorgeous Merci Handy Gels that help to conveniently clean my hands whilst being out and about. They come in many different fragrances and dry in seconds which I'm so thankful for as I hate that sticky residue you get from certain sanitisers. Why not check out their range here?
Layering Lab Oriental Body Spray
Body spray is a huge must because you can never be too sure just how strenuous your day will be and getting caught off guard is never nice! I've only just been introduced to Layering Lab since I was kindly sent these from Superdrug and I can't believe I've not tried them before. The scents I received are all super sophisticated and feel just that bit more special than your usual body spray. The Oriental one is my favourite which has spice, berries and floral tones which I had no idea at first if it would work but trust me.. it works so good. The unique thing about the sprays is that you can layer these up to create your own scent and I think that's such a great idea! B. Precision Blending Sponge
I'm not a fan of taking hundreds of brushes in my bag as they always take up room and I've found this blending sponge from B. is a perfect way to retouch my concealer, foundation and blending of contour throughout the day without needing individual brushes. Of course there's the trouble of needing water (although you could use it dry if needs be) but the likelihood of being nearby a bathroom is always high so I never stress about that. Candy Kittens Fresh Raspberry Gourmet Sweets
I love to have a sweet treat in my bag because I'm always prone to feeling faint during the day so I need to keep my sugar levels up! Candy Kittens make these amazing sweets that are gluten free, contain natural flavourings and also natural colourings. They also have a couple varieties that are vegan too so you'll all find something catered for you. The fresh raspberry bag is a slightly smaller bag than their normal packs which I feel fits into my bag a lot better and doesn't take up as much room. The sweets themselves are delicious and you only need one or two to fill up that empty space until a meal. Take a look at their tasty range here.
Cool Question Luxury Deodorising Face & Body Wipes
Sometimes body spray just isn't enough and if you work in a fast environment or maybe go to the gym after work then these luxury wipes are ideal for a quick fix until you can get home. They're designed to be just like a flannel and are soft on the skin whilst being packed with cool mint to help the skin breathe. The wipes themselves are packaged in foil so that they stay moist when not in use, this makes them perfect to slip into your bag without being noticeable and without the fear of them drying out before use.
