Lisa Blur Makeup Review + NARS Dupe?!
I was allowed to pick three makeup items from the brand Lisa Blur and believe me I had a difficult time! Lisa Blur stocks every makeup item you could think of including brushes too! I decided on getting a blush, lipstick and gloss as I have plenty of eyeshadows and highlights so wanted to experiment a little. I also feel like I've found a good alternative to the NARS orgasm blush for a cheaper price so stay tuned for that!
Lisa Blur Ultra Satin Lipstick
This Ultra Satin lipstick in the shade 'Pink Power' looked like the perfect spring shade when browsing online and I was definitely not disappointed when I received this. The formula lives up to it's title and glides across as you'd expect a satin lipstick to do. It feels very moisturising on the lips and is highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. For some reason this shade does not seem to be available on their site anymore but they stock lots more shades and different formulas such as Xtreme, Hi-Gloss and Luxe.
This particular lipstick formula is £11 but hi-glosses are £10 and both the Xtreme and Luxe are £15

Lisa Blur Luxe Lip Gloss
Glosses are something I've never been keen on if they're sticky and I decided I want to try a mid-range gloss to see how their formula performs. This particular shade is called Nibble (described as a pink nude) and I absolutely love it. Their lip glosses are designed to have a slightly tacky texture so it can be worn for long periods of time. These glosses are also surprisingly pigmented which I didn't expect from a lip gloss so I was impressed with that. This was definitely a longer lasting gloss than most I've tried and it didn't feel too sticky on my lips.
There are two ranges of lip glosses available on the site including the luxe glosses and shimmer. The luxe version is £15 and the shimmer is £12.

Before I go onto the blush I wanted to show you the swatches of the gloss and lipstick. The gloss doesn't seem as pigmented on my wrist since it's quite a light colour but you can definitely see it on the lips and it's a really nice gloss to layer upon lipstick. The lipstick swatch really shows you just how pigmented and creamy it is, I love the final look of it!
Lisa Blur Blush
I chose the blush shade 'High Five' as I felt it worked the best with the other two products I chose. When I opened it up my immediate thought was that it looked a lot like NARS Orgasm and knew I had to do a comparison swatch. The blush itself is made from triple milled fine powder and is highly pigmented whilst being lightweight on the skin. I'm really happy I chose the blush because it's so easy to wear and would suit all skin tones. The Lisa Blur blushers are £15 and the matte versions are £12.50

Lisa Blur VS NARS Orgasm
(Top: NARS - Bottom: Lisa Blur)
Next to each other in the pan I truly believe they look so alike! NARS has a little more golden fleck in it compared to the Lisa Blur version but apart from that I wouldn't be able to tell them apart! When swatched there is a slight difference, the NARS one seems to be just a tad lighter and less glittery (surprisingly) whereas the Lisa Blur blush is a little darker with more shimmer running through it.
I think if you're looking for a similar dupe then this one should be considered, it's not 100% the same but it's definitely close and I think for a saving of £12 it's worth it!
What do you think of these items? I've not tried Lisa Blur before and I was very impressed with the quality of them
